Report shares latest on West Ham’s pursuit of Ward-Prowse as Hammers eye cut-price deal for Southampton star

West Ham are now confident of getting a deal for Southampton star James Ward-Prowse over the line, claims Football Insider.

There’s been a lot of back and forth in the media as to what the summer might hold for the 27-year-old Ward-Prowse, following Southampton’s relegation from the Premier League last season.

West Ham seem like the team most keen on signing him but the general consensus is that the Hammers are unwilling to meet Southampton’s £40million valuation of the player.

This week, reports have revealed that David Moyes’ side remain in pursuit of Ward-Prowse, with Football Insider now claiming that the London club remain confident of securing a deal.

Their report also adds that West Ham are confident of securing the deal for an amount closer to their £25million valuation of the player, with Ward-Prowse apparently keen on the move.
