Roma Ready to Quickly Rebuff PSG Advances for Koné

April 24, 2025

Manu Koné is having a respectable maiden Serie A campaign, and Roma plot to resist the temptation of turning a quick profit on him. His valuation has quickly doubled, and a few teams, in particular PSG, are keeping tabs on him.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via Mediaset), the Giallorossi fully intend to have him in their squad for a few seasons. Their €18M investment, plus €2M add-ons, has paid dividends. His valuation is about €40M now.

Roma are likely to receive some offers for Koné in the summer, but any sum is unlikely to persuade them. The brass and the coaching staff believe he has a lot of room to grow.

The 23-year-old has been a day-one starter since moving to the Italian capital. He has appeared in 41 matches across all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists. He has earned a regular spot in the French national team too. He has six caps with Les Blues.

The Giallorossi bested a few sides to sign him from Borussia Mönchengladbach on loan with an obligation to buy. He also starred for Toulouse in the past.
