PSG Gears Up to Compete with Arsenal and Real Madrid for Left-Footed Standout
Paris Saint-Germain will aim to bolster its backline this summer as it begins the post-Kylian Mbappé era. The capital club reportedly has several files on what center-backs to pursue, and the latest is another young talent.
Leny Yoro and Antonio Silva are among the names that have surfaced, but there’s now a new name to follow. According to TuttoMercatoWeb (h/t Le10Sport), PSG is keen on Ajax’s teenage defender, Jorrel Hato. The youngster is under contract until 2025, so the Dutch side needs to address his future soon.
However, the Parisians are not alone in pursuing the 17-year-old left-footed center-back. The Italian media outlet notes that Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Inter Milan are among the European giants that have their eyes on Hato.
As far as how much the defender will cost, Transfermarkt puts Hato’s transfer value at €22 million. Nonetheless, with several top clubs vying for the player, expect the price to increase.
Hato has appeared in 34 contests across all competitions this season for Ajax, scoring one goal and three assists. The Dutchman is also a versatile defender, having made seven starts at left-back for Ajax.
