Wolves’ loss to relegation rivals Leeds United descends into ‘fury and bitterness’

March 19, 2023

All the latest Wolverhampton Wanderers news and views from BirminghamLive as we bring you a round-up of yesterday’s reporting on the fractious loss to Leeds United

Wolves and Leeds have previous at Molineux. A year to the day since Luke Ayling gave the Whites a 3-2 victory against Bruno Lage’s ten men, they returned to play out an even more raucous Premier League match.

This time they won it 4-2, seemingly coasting into a 3-0 lead with goals from Jack Harrison, Ayling and Rasmus Kristensen only for Jonny to produce what seemed the most handsome of consolations. Matheus Cunha suggested it might have been more but the match descended further into farce as Jonny was sent off and Rodrigo made it 4-2 to take the three points.
