Why isn’t Liverpool vs Fulham on TV? How to watch Premier League game
Liverpool will aim to tighten their grasp on top spot with a result against 10th-placed Fulham on Saturday, but fans in the UK hoping to watch the action will be unable to do so
Arne Slot’s high-flying Liverpool welcome Fulham to Anfield’s lofty heights this afternoon.
Having lost just a single Premier League game so far this season – now boasting a four-point gap at the summit with a game in hand – new boss Slot has flown out the traps and refuses to look back. His stars didn’t take to the field last week after their Merseyside derby against Everton was postponed due to the weather.
That gave the chasing pack a chance to close, albeit perhaps only temporarily, but fellow challengers Arsenal couldn’t take full advantage thanks to a stout home performance from the Cottagers, who held them to a 1-1 draw last Sunday.
Now, Slot’s side can offer their thanks in person, then swiftly whisk away that hand and attempt to down Marco Silva’s side, who have looked an unpredictable force in mid-table. However, fans in the UK wishing to see how this meeting plays out will be left disappointed.
The Reds’ midweek trip to Girona – which resulted in a 1-0 win – hasn’t affected this latest clash, which is scheduled for a Saturday 3pm kick-off.
UK football fans may be well aware then that, as per the Premier League blackout rule, any match played between 2:45pm and 5:15pm on a Saturday cannot be shown like on UK TV.
This also means that fellow title-challengers Arsenal’s match against Merseyside rivals Everton, as well as Newcastle vs Leicester and Wolves vs Ipswich Town won’t be aired.
