West Ham and Manchester United target Youssouf Fofana nearing AC Milan move
Fabrizio Romano understands that Youssouf Fofana (25) is nearing a move to Serie A side AC Milan, who are nearing an agreement with AS Monaco.
It was decided at the end of the season that, with just one year remaining on his deal, Fofana would be allowed to leave the Principality club this summer. CEO Thiago Scuro confirmed that the club were looking to help find a new club for the France international.
Fofana had garnered interest from the Premier League. As per L’Équipe, West Ham United and Manchester United had enquired about the midfielder, however, his heart has been set on a move to AC Milan, whose interest has been concrete for several weeks.
Thus far, however, there has been gap in the valuation of the player. That gap is decreasing. According to Romano, AC Milan have improved the structure of their bid and an agreement with Monaco is therefore now close.
