Tottenham look to repeat Papa Matar Sarr trick as agent admits £10m transfer target could sign deal
Tottenham are looking to beat fellow Premier League sides West Ham, Burnley and even French side Lyon to the signing of fast-rising Ghanaian forward Ernest Nuamah.
The 19-year-old has been turning heads in Denmark and is reported to be now looking to make the step up to Europe’s top leagues.
Nuamah has scored five goals already at the start of the Danish league including a hat-trick on the opening day of the season against Viborg.
He made his international debut for the Black Stars of Ghana in June their Africa Cup of National qualifier against Madagascar, lasting 28 minutes as he got his international career off to a good start.
“There are a number of teams looking at him including clubs in England but that is all we can say now,” the player’s representatives told LondonWorld.
Reports say Brighton have made an offer for the young forward as well as Burnley and West Ham but it is French side Lyon who have agreed personal terms with the player.
Tottenham have sent out scouts to have a look at the youngster and are convinced they can sign him and leave him out on-loan to the Danish club for at least a season in a move similar to what they did to Papa Matar Sarr when they first signed him from Metz in 2021.
Tottenham are looking for a fresh start after losing talisman Harry Kane to Bayern Munich. The north London side are hoping to attract some of the best young players in Europe and not necessarily go in search of a big name to replace Kane.
On the field, they have looked great with an opening day draw against Brentford following an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester United in the Premier League.
