Top European clubs willing to battle it out for Sunderland prospect

January 26, 2025

Sunderland midfielder Jobe is now being eyed by German due Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund, as per Alan Nixon.
Sunderland are enjoying a successful season so far thanks to the consistently promising performances by several young players, including Jobe. SAFC sit firmly inside the top six and could even make a late push for the top two if results go their way.

The Black Cats are the youngest side in the division and their constant faith in youth is beginning to pay off with Regis Le Bris getting a tune out of his squad.

Jobe, 19, has been a regular in the Sunderland squad since his arrival in the summer of 2023.

He played all 46 second tier games for the club last season, scoring seven and assisting one.

So far this season he has seven goal contributions in 26 league outings and his performances all-round have been vastly improved.

However, that has led to big interest from top tier clubs. Nixon now claims two Bundesliga giants are eyeing a swoop for the Birmingham-born teen.

The report does state a summer move is more likely, but it does not rule out a late bid before next Friday.
