Super Eagles striker formerly on Roma and West Ham’s radar to play again 240 days after ACL injury

March 23, 2025

Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi is set to return to action on Wednesday, 240 days after he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Soccernet.ng reports.

Moffi has been out of action since July 2023, when he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury during a training session at Nice. That injury ensured that he had to undergo surgery, and that has kept him sidelined for the entire season, as he has missed Nice’s last 37 games.

The injury was at a bad time for Moffi, as he was just coming off a season that saw him register 11 goals and two assists in 30 appearances. His performances had caught the eyes of some top teams in Europe like Roma and West Ham.

Nonetheless, the Super Eagles star returned to light training at Nice at the start of the month. He has been working at Nice to reach full fitness.

In a new development on Saturday, Nice shared a picture of Moffi playing with his teammates in an intense training game, indicating that the 25-year-old striker is fully fit now.

Sequel to that, Shango Foot reports that Moffi’s return to the game action could be as early as next week, when Nice’s junior team plays a friendly match against Brighton’s U23s.
