SIMONE INZAGHI PREDICTS INTER TO DRAW MAN CITY IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ROUND OF 16

Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi has on Sunday spoken out over the upcoming Champions League knockout stage draw.

Inter, of course, will soon discover their fate for the next round of European football’s elite club competition.

After being pipped to top spot in Group D by Real Sociedad, the Nerazzurri could well face a tough test, with a number of the continent’s heavyweights potentially waiting in store.

Speaking to the media on the back of his side’s latest impressive domestic victory tonight – a 2-0 triumph at Lazio – Simone Inzaghi was therefore asked for his prediction for Monday’s draw.

And, should their boss’ call ultimately prove to be accurate, Inter’s stars will likely soon be cursing their luck.

This comes with Inzaghi of the opinion that his side are set to draw Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, who of course got the better of the Milanese giants in the finale of the Champions League in Istanbul just six months ago.

“I think we’re going to draw Manchester City,” the Italian began, as cited by Gianluca Di Marzio.

“But we’ll see what happens. All the teams in the draw are very strong and will be a big test.”
