Roma Reportedly Moving Early to Purchase Lecce Maestro
Roma have already started laying the groundwork to sign Morten Hjulmand in the summer. Lecce received offers in January, but they didn’t want to sell any of their linchpins to fuel their chances of avoiding relegation.
There have already been some contacts between the parties. The Salentini value their midfielder €15/20M. They were highly interested in Edoardo Bove in the past window, but José Mourinho ultimately didn’t sign off on his departure. The Giallorossi will likely include one of their youngsters to limit the spending.
Signing Hjulmand wouldn’t be mutually exclusive with onboarding long-standing Roma target Davide Frattesi. The two can feature together since they have diverse skill sets. On the other hand, despite the departure of Nicolò Zaniolo, the Giallorossi will likely have to sell more players to foot their additions to make the numbers work and abide by the Financial Fair Play.
