Report – Man Utd prepared to agree £50million fee to seal £290,000 a week star exit

February 7, 2024

Manchester United paid a hefty fee of £73million to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in charge of the club.

Unfortunately, the England international failed to shine under the Norwegian manager and had a torrid relationship with Erik ten Hag, who opted to loan him out to BvB in the last transfer window.

Since then, the Three Lions star has set up two goals in as many starts for the German Bundesliga side but it seems there is no way back for him at Old Trafford.

According to an exclusive story covered by Football Insider, the Red Devils will demand a huge fee to sell Sancho once and for all.

The news source have mentioned that Man Utd are prepared to agree a fee of around £50million to offload the 23-year-old.

It is stated that a permanent deal would be hard to complete for Dortmund as apart from fee, his high wages would also be a problem.

At the moment, Sancho takes home a huge salary of around £290,000 a week (The Daily Mail).
The 23-capped international has only netted 12 goals in 82 appearances for Man Utd and it is unlikely he will feature for the club if Ten Hag remains in charge next season.

Currently, Garnacho and Rashford are the first choice wingers at Old Trafford but the depth of the wide offensive position is a concern.

In your view, should Man Utd permanently sell Sancho for a fee of £50million?
