Referee named for Real Madrid’s Champions League clash vs AC Milan

Slavko Vinčić will be the referee in charge of Real Madrid’s Champions League clash with European giants AC Milan on Tuesday, the club announced on Sunday.

Here is the official statement that was put out in the announcement:

“Slavko Vinčić will referee the Champions League match between Real Madrid and Milan on Matchday 4, which will be played at the Santiago Bernabéu (Tuesday, 9:00 p.m. CET). The Slovenian referee, who was the referee for the Decimoquinta final, will be officiating a match between our team in the top continental competition for the second time.”

As mentioned, this would only be the second time Vinčić will be refereeing a Real Madrid game, the first being against Dortmund in the Champions League final last season. It was a well refereed game to be fair to Vinčić, and one would hope that the game on Tuesday has the same outcome.
