Real Madrid waiting to hear from Mbappe’s mother before launching a bid

The Kylian Mbappe saga has started to seem lifeless at its very best. The reason being, despite the infinite market speculations, the player has been static.

Neither Real Madrid nor Paris Saint-Germain and not even the forward are willing to start any conversation.

However, if a report from Carlos Carpio (h/t Madrid Zone) is to be believed, the team from the Spanish capital is actually waiting for the player’s mother/agent, Fayza Lamari, to call them and give the green light to finally launch a bid.

The reporter mentions that Los Blancos have been waiting for this call all summer and they are still expecting to hear from Fayza which is why Mbappe to Real Madrid is still very much a possibility.

The saga is far from over

The story has been dragged all throughout the summer and although there were tensions between the 24-year-old and the Ligue 1 side early on, parties involved have decided to get over the ghosts of the past.

But with 10 days still left for the transfer window to slam shut, nothing is done and dusted.

In fact, the story is far from over as Andrés Onrubia writes that if Madrid pay €250 million for Mbappé tomorrow, the player will move to La Liga.

While everything has now begun to sound atrocious, one just cannot predict what will happen in this deal.

For the moment, the player has vowed to play for PSG, but that decision is only based on the fact that Madrid did not make any offer this summer. If they had, the player could have secured an early exit.

And, if there is an offer in the coming days, things could be set in motion.
