Real Madrid midfielder rejects Premier League offer, keen to stay at the club

January 28, 2023

Dani Ceballos’ contract situation at Real Madrid has led to intense speculations over his future beyond the current campaign.

The 26-year-old will see his current deal with the club expire at the end of the season and there has been no definitive situation from the club over whether to offer him a new deal or not.

Amidst this, the Spaniard is said to be attracting interest from several top clubs across Europe, as he would be arriving for free in the summer and has his best years in front of him.

Now, MARCA is reporting that Ceballos has already received a substantial offer from an unnamed Premier League club. However, the 26-year-old star has turned it down as he wishes to continue at Real Madrid beyond the current season.

Given that the former Real Betis man entered the final six months of his contract in January, he is free to talk to any club of his desire and negotiate a pre-contract agreement over a summer transfer.

So, as per the report, he has been receiving offers, with an important one arriving from a club in the Premier League.

However, Ceballos has been rejecting all proposals that are coming his way, as he remains intent on furthering his career at Real Madrid and is confident about earning a renewal.

The 26-year-old has not played all too regularly this season but has made a strong case each time he has taken the pitch. He has been in top form, especially in the last three matches against Villarreal, Athletic Club and Atletico Madrid.

Ceballos’ recent performances have reportedly convinced Real Madrid to offer him a fresh contract. What remains to be seen is if there is a proposal from the club and whether he accepts the terms offered.
