Real Madrid believe time in their favour with PSG, Mbappe set to intensify future talks
With the Kylian Mbappe transfer saga yet to meet a resolution, the situation continues to dominate headlines in the media.
The 24-year-old superstar has already confirmed that he wishes to stay at the club and leave for free next year when his contract expires. The Parisian giants, though, are not in favour of such a move and wish to either sanction his sale right now or extend his contract.
Amidst this, Real Madrid continue to lie in wait and closely watch the situation as they prepare themselves to pounce on Mbappe’s signing.
With PSG starting their pre-season preparations today, Mbappe arrived at the club’s facilities with his future far from being clear.
And according to MARCA, negotiations are set to intensify between the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner and PSG as both parties seek a solution for the matter at the earliest possible.
Indeed, the forward and the club will hold talks tomorrow itself, with PSG keen on finalising his future, one way or the other, before their pre-season tour of Japan.
Mbappe remains firm in his stance that he does not wish to extend his contract. In such a scenario, PSG do not want him on the pre-season tour and wish to offload at the earliest.
Amidst all this, Real Madrid are waiting patiently for the scene to play out. They believe that time is in their favour and the longer the negotiations between PSG and Mbappe take, the possibility of signing the attacker for a lower fee increases for them.
PSG, for their part, are already looking at attacking reinforcements. They are set to re-sign Xavi Simons from PSV Eindhoven in a deal worth €6 million and have their sights on Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic as well.
So, there may very well be some major developments in the Mbappe transfer soap opera in the coming days, as Real Madrid seek to learn whether they can sign him this summer or not.
