PSG Eyes Promising Bologna Youngster with Bayern Munich Roots for Future Squad Boost
Paris Saint-Germain will be in the market to help replace the production left behind with the reported departure of Kylian Mbappé. While many are putting the Parisians as a suitor for Victor Osimhen, one pundit believes the capital club is going after another player.
RMC Sport pundit Daniel Riolo believes that PSG will shop in Serie A for a striker, but it won’t be for Osimhen. According to Riolo (h/t Le10Sport), the current Ligue 1 leaders will be eyeing Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee.
The 22-year-old has appeared in 27 matches across all competitions for the Italian side, scoring 10 goals and registering six assists this season. As for a transfer fee, Transfermarkt puts his value at €30 million.
Zirkzee came up through Bayern Munich’s youth system and made his first team debut in December 2019 against Tottenham Hotspur in the final group stage match of the UEFA Champions League.
The young forward would spend time at Parma and Anderlecht on loan before finding a home in Bologna. Zirkzee has thrived under former PSG player Thiago Motta, so they could contact him soon to get more details about the Dutchman.
