Partizan lose to Lugano at home in UEFA Europa League qualifier

Serbian football club Partizan Belgrade suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Swiss side Lugano in the first leg of the two teams’ UEFA Europa League third qualifying round tie on Thursday evening.

Mattia Zanotti scored the winner for the visitors in the 70th minute.

In the UEFA Conference League third qualifying round, Vojvodina Novi Sad lost 2-1 away to Slovenia’s Maribor in the first leg of the tie.

Josip Ilicic (59 min) and substitute Hillal Soudani (90+8 min) provided the goals for Maribor, while Caleb Zady Sery netted for Vojvodina in the 77th minute.
