Nottingham Forest identify ‘outstanding’ player to replace Elliot Anderson
Nottingham Forest are facing a losing battle to keep hold of Elliot Anderson beyond the summer.
Liverpool and Manchester City are just two clubs eyeing Anderson, with the England star set to shine at the World Cup during the summer of 2026.
Anderson has been a revelation since his £35 million capture from Newcastle, with Odysseas Vlachodimos – a third-choice goalkeeper – offsetting the transfer fee somewhat.
The 22-year-old’s form, however, has been so good that in a matter of 18 months, he’s now one of the country’s top midfielders, and it looks impossible that he will stay at Forest.
Given the club’s position in the food chain, that doesn’t come as a surprise, and it looks as though Forest might already have found their replacement for Anderson.
