Nine matches in a month and Barcelona youngster still on the outside looking for an opportunity

May 3, 2025

April turned out to be a rough month for Barcelona. After going unbeaten for months, the team finally tasted defeat, falling 1-3 to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

The loss was not just a one-off. Barcelona’s defence looked shaky throughout the month, conceding at least two goals in four of their last five matches — something rarely seen under Hansi Flick.

If there was one area keeping Barça afloat, it was the attack. The forwards stepped up repeatedly, scoring goals that kept the team alive in crucial moments.

Without them, the month could have looked much worse. But while the front line was praised and rotated, one name was missing from the picture — Pablo Torre.

No minutes, no chances: Torre’s situation grows more unclear

With matches coming every few days and signs of fatigue clearly visible, most would have expected Hansi Flick to give Torre a chance.

But the young midfielder has not seen a single minute of action during this demanding run. Not even as a late substitute. It has become clear that Torre is completely out of Flick’s plans, at least for now.
