Nico Williams mural defaced again with X-rated message amid Barcelona transfer talk

Athletic Club fans have once again made their feelings crystal clear about Nico Williams amid continued talk of a move to Barcelona.

A mural of the Athletic Club star with brother Inaki and Iker Munian had already been defaced by supporters but was then restored after the club issued a statement criticising the offenders.

However, fans have simply wrecked the latest effort and added the message: “F***ing rat.”

It’s the latest chapter in what is becoming another transfer saga for Barcelona, with tensions between the clubs rising this week.

Athletic Club met with La Liga to express their unhappiness at Barca’s plans to activate his release clause due to their belief the Catalans are not within the 1:1 rule.

Barcelona have reacted pretty calmly to that development, with Joan Laporta effectively saying on Friday the club are prepared to pay Nico’s clause.

Meanwhile, it’s been claimed that Williams is “not having a good time” right now due to the ongoing speculation about his future.
