Newcastle considering loan bids for Spurs and PSG outcasts
According to The Mirror, Newcastle are considering a loan move for former Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris, with PSG stopper Keylor Navas another short-term option that could be explored.
It’s understood that Newcastle see Martin Dubravka as a suitable replacement for Nick Pope following his injury, but Eddie Howe is concerned by our lack of depth.
Pope is set to miss at least fourth months following surgery on his dislocated shoulder. Loris Karius remains another option behind Dubravka, but Howe has been reluctant to play the German international since he arrived as a free agent last September, with his one and only appearance coming in our cup final defeat to Man Utd earlier this year.
Newcastle had a surprise loan bid rejected for Loris over the final few days of the summer window, while Navas is currently a back-up option at PSG after spending the 2022/23 season with Nottingham Forest.
