National media make brutal Arne Slot and Erik ten Hag point after Liverpool humiliate Man Utd

September 2, 2024

The national media give their take on a famous day for Liverpool as they beat Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford in Arne Slot’s first visit there as Reds head coach

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag shakes hands with his Liverpool counterpart after the latter inflicted a humiliating defeat on his fellow Dutchman at Old Trafford.

Arne Slot secured the most eye-catching win of his fledgling Liverpool career to date as his side tore Manchester United apart. Mohamed Salah added a second-half strike to Luis Diaz’s double to ensure the Reds went up the other end of the M62 with maximum points and heading into the international break with a spring in their step.

It was a stunning performance from Liverpool, who have nine points from their opening three fixtures against Ipswich Town, Brentford and United without conceding a goal.
