NAPOLI PRESSING TO LAND ANTONIO CONTE AS MANAGER
Serie A giants Napoli are once again pressing to land Antonio Conte and make him their next manager.
The Partenopei have had a turbulent season where they have had three different managers and they have to hire a new boss next season, with many names being linked with the role including Conte, Gian Piero Gasperini and Vincenzo Italiano.
Il Mattino (via TMW) have reported about the club’s chase of Conte, stating that they are now pressing to hire the Italian. They want a big-name manager to replace Francesco Calzona and club CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis has already set aside his ideas of how to bring Conte to the club.
Napoli are ready to offer a three-year deal worth €8 million per season, with Conte taking time to reflect on the decision. The next name on the shortlist is Gasperini, who recently took Atalanta to the semi-finals of the Europa League and he could now leave La Dea.
Stefano Pioli is also an option, with his exit from Milan also likely. He has also been linked with the Partenopei in recent weeks.
