MILAN FEAR LOSING GIROUD FOR VITAL UCL QUARTER-FINAL CLASH WITH NAPOLI
Milan are seriously concerned that striker Olivier Giroud will be forced to miss out on the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals with Napoli due to injury.
The Rossoneri edged out a 1-0 win over the Partenopei in their first leg meeting in San Siro last week and are now gearing up for the decisive clash in Campania.
Milan have struggled to find a consistent source of goals this season but Giroud has proven useful, netting 12 times across 37 games this season, earning a new deal with the club.
La Gazzetta dello Sport details how Giroud is currently suffering from an Achilles tendon problem, forcing him to miss the training session at Milanello on Sunday.
Milan now fear losing the French veteran for the second leg clash with Napoli, forcing Stefano Pioli to choose between Ante Rebic and Divock Origi.
Giroud played the entire 90 minutes of the first leg against the Partenopei and his absence will be sorely felt by the club.
