Milan Defender Pierre Kalulu Emerges as Potential Replacement for Benjamin Pavard
With Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard closing in on move to Inter, the Bundesliga giants have identified Milan centre-back Pierre Kalulu as a potential replacement for the French international.
Sky Sports reports, via FcInter1908, that the 23 year-old has emerged as an ideal candidate to replace the former Stuttgart defender as a result of his versatility to play both center-back and full-back within a back-line.
As it stands, both Bayern and Inter have agreed on a €30m transfer fee plus add-ons for the the French defender to join the Nerazzurri and part ways with Tuchel’s side after having spent four years at the Allianz.
Despite the Frenchman ready to pen to paper on a long-term deal with the Benemata, Bayern are holding back on sanctioning the move as they insist on securing a replacement prior to letting Pavard join the Milanese club.
With the clock-ticking as very little time remains within the transfer market, the 27 year-old is frustrated with the move remaining at a stand-still, refusing to take part in training sessions with the Bundesliga outfits as as an attempt to force a move to Inter.
As Bayern have been forced to move quickly within the market, the European juggernauts are keeping their tabs open on the 23 year-old Rossonerri defender, whom has featured in 34 matches across all competitions last season.
