Marotta Hopes Zielinski Winds Up Re-Upping with Napoli

December 4, 2023

Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta had peculiar remarks about Piotr Zielinski, whom they are reportedly chasing for anot big-ticket Bosman addition. The director talked to various outlets before the clash with the Partenopei.

“I just know that his contract runs out at the end of the season. I think that his club will be very wary of getting to a positive resolution before June. We absolutely haven’t approached him. As the technical area monitors the market, we look at expiration dates. It’s early, and we can’t intervene at this stage.”

“Zielinski is a talented player, but I hope, for the sake of Napoli, he could reach an agreement with them.”

The Azzurri’s director Mauro Meluso recently addressed the reports about other sides being in talks with the Pole, even though it’s permitted only in the final six months of his contract, so from January on, inviting the authorities to look into possible infractions.

According to Tuttosport (via Calciomercato), Inter would be ready to offer Zielinski a four-year contract with €4/4.5M wages should he indeed leave the Scudetto holders.
