Marc Casado edging closer to the exit door at Barcelona
Marc Casado may just be edging closer to the exit door at Barcelona as the midfielder continue to struggle for minutes at Camp Nou.
Hansi Flick confirmed Casado missed out last time out against Villarreal due to a knock but also made it clear that Marc Bernal is ahead of him in the pecking order.
There were whispers of interest from Atletico in the winter, and Casado did admit in December he’s not happy with his minutes so far this season.
Reporter Jorge Picón has now offered an update and claims the midfielder is considering his options.
“What I’m hearing from several sources is that Marc Casadó is considering leaving FC Barcelona,” he told El Desmarque.
“Several clubs are already interested; I don’t know if Atlético de Madrid, as I’ve read in several places, could be one of the possible destinations.”
Picon adding that Casado is “starting to see his place at Barcelona becoming increasingly limited” and that “if he were to leave, it would be in the next summer transfer window, provided there is a good offer.
“I think Barça wouldn’t put up too many problems and would let Marc leave the team and find a place at another club.”
