The Toffees have been in several relegation battles in recent years under Frank Lampard and Sean Dyche, not to mention controversy off the pitch as the Premier League docked Everton ten points for breaching financial rules in November 2023.
So, this season – the first full campaign under David Moyes since 2012/13 – has been a welcome change, with Everton currently stable and sitting within touching distance of European qualification.
However, a manager Everton sacked in Marco Silva is doing even better as Fulham sit one place above the Toffees – and has now attracted the attention of Manchester United.
