Liverpool star could make Bayer Leverkusen swap hours after Florian Wirtz transfer

Liverpool are close to signing Florian Wirtz for a British record fee, with Bayer Leverkusen now eyeing a move for a Reds star to head the other way and to the Bundesliga

Bayer Leverkusen have set their sights on Liverpool star Jarell Quansah as they look to rebuild their squad. Leverkusen, who won the Bundesliga title and DFB-Pokal double last year, have lost manager Xabi Alonso and a number of top stars.

Former Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag has been appointed as Alonso’s replacement in the dugout. The club are now looking to add to their squad, with Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz joining Liverpool, while Jonathan Tah left for Bayern Munich.
