Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard’s chances of next job take hammer blow

Rangers have been on the lookout for a new manager since Philippe Clement was sacked and it appears they’ve identified Davide Ancelotti as the man to take over
Steven Gerrard’s hopes of a return to Rangers could be dashed as the Scottish club is reportedly close to appointing Davide Ancelotti, son of football legend Carlo Ancelotti, as their new manager.
Rangers have been on the hunt for a permanent replacement for Philippe Clement and it seems they’ve found their man in Real Madrid assistant, Davide Ancelotti, who has worked alongside his father in his last four roles.
According to Spanish news outlet AS, the deal is ‘almost certain’ to proceed with Rangers’ new owners actively searching for a fresh managerial face. It’s anticipated that Francesco Mauri, another integral part of Carlo’s coaching team, will join him at Ibrox.
