Leeds officially miss out as ‘fantastic’ £3.5m target joins Champions League side until 2029
Leeds United are in the market for new additions out wide but one player that has been linked with a move to Elland Road is no longer a target, after joining a Champions League club.
While The Whites have been focused on outgoings at this early stage in the window, the club will know that a large part of their incoming will have to be new options on the flanks in Daniel Farke’s squad.
Jaidon Anthony has returned to Bournemouth after his loan, while Ian Poveda is now a free agent. Leeds are left with just Dan James, Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto as options out wide at Elland Road.
But the chances of all three still being a Leeds player come the start of next season is unlikely. Gnonto is the subject of interest from Inter Milan, while Nottingham Forest are said to have tabled an offer for him.
Leeds need wingers with Crysencio Summerville interest huge
Summerville meanwhile, has almost half of the Premier League interested. Liverpool, Chelsea, West Ham, Fulham and Bournemouth are linked while Newcastle are said to have discussed Summerville internally.
The Championship Player of the Season is also an option for Palace with Michael Olise making a shock move to Bayern Munich. Brighton are said to have held talks for Summerville, but no bid is made just yet.
Leeds need new wingers, but one player they have been linked with is Moroccan star Couhaib Driouech. However, he is no longer an option as the “fantastic” £3.5m-rated winger has completed a move to PSV.
