‘Karim Adeyemi fits Hansi Flick’s style’ – Gaizka Mendieta gives his verdict on Barcelona transfer

Gaizka Mendieta is backing Karim Adeyemi to be a success at Barcelona next season ahead of his expected move from Borussia Dortmund.

Adeyemi has arrived in Barcelona to complete his transfer which is expected to be announced by the club this week.

Mendieta says that Adeyemi is a good fit and can help give Raphinha a breather.

Speaking to football betting site Bet Victor, Mendieta said: “Karim Adeyemi fits Hansi Flick’s style. Last season, when Raphinha was out, they struggled to find a similar player.

“While Fermín could fill in, he is a different type of player. Adeyemi is fast and looks like he wants to come to Barça. I saw him live a few times last season.

”He is a very good player who can play wide or inside with both feet. He adds another layer to the team if you need to replace Raphinha or Ferran Torres, who looks like he is going to PSG. He could play in any forward position under Flick.

“He would be a great addition for Barcelona and the manager.”

Adeyemi is set to sign a five-year contract with Barcelona and should link up with his new team-mates shortly for pre-season.
