Juventus Waiting in the Wings for Disgruntled Zaccagni
Juventus are keeping tabs on Mattia Zaccagni, who has been left in limbo by Lazio contract-wise. If the renewal doesn’t come in the next couple of months, he might depart for a discounted fee to prevent a Bosman transfer in 2025, Alfredo Pedullà reports.
The Bianconeri would be willing to give him a multi-year deal with €3.5M wages as he demands. Instead, the talks with the capital club are stalling. His valuation could be €15M/20M, including add-ons.
Juventus tried to add Zaccagni in the past, but Lazio refused to negotiate to focus on his extension. There have been no advancements on that front, as his agent Mario Giuffredi told Corriere di Roma (via Goal).
“I haven’t heard anything from the club in 40 days. I don’t know if Claudio Lotito has other things to do, but evidently, my client’s contract isn’t his priority; otherwise, he’d find the time to solve the issue. We’ll look around in the summer.”
The Biancocelesti haven’t given up all hopes of retaining the Italian winger and Felipe Anderson, who’s also being pursued by the Old Lady.
