Juventus thump Cremonese to stay in title chase
Genoa beat relegation-battle rivals Cagliari 3-0 at home
Juventus thumped promoted Cremonese 5-0 in Turin on Monday to remain firmly in the Serie A title chase thanks to scores by Gleison Bremer, Jonathan David, Kenan Yildiz and Weston McKennie and a Filippo Terracciano own goal.
Luciano Spalletti’s side are fourth with 39 points from 20 games, four behind leaders Inter and one behind second-placed Milan.
They are level on points with fifth-placed AS Roma and third-placed champions Napoli, although the top three have a game in hand after taking part in the Italian Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
Genoa, meanwhile, beat relegation-battle rivals Cagliari 3-0 at home to move level on 19 points with the Sardinian team and go one place above them in the table at 15th.
