Jurgen Klopp Receiving Huge Praise for Signing Wataru Endo
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has received a glowing report from a former Borussia Dortmund player on Wataru Endo.
Jurgen Klopp has been inundated with praise after bringing Stuttgart midfielder Wataru Endo to Liverpool.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Klopp is ‘privately delighted’ to have snapped up Endo.
The Reds made their move for Endo around this time a week ago, making a shock move to bring the Japan ace to Anfield.
The 30-year-old wasn’t really on any Liverpool fan’s radar as a potential signing after missing out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.
Klopp is delighted though and it’s suggested that some of his former colleagues have been in contact to praise him for signing Endo.
Those people ‘waxed lyrical’ about Endo and Klopp even received praise from a former Borussia Dortmund player.
That mystery player told Klopp that Endo could prove to be one of the best signings in his career, rating him very, very highly.
Jurgen Klopp has wanted Liverpool new boy Wataru Endo for a while
It’s unclear just who offered up that message to Klopp.
Shinji Kagawa is one of few to have played for Dortmund, played under Klopp and played with Endo, so maybe he fits the bill.
Kagawa and Endo only played three games together with Japan though, to it’s not the biggest of sample sizes.
No matter who it was, Klopp has seemingly wanted Endo for a while and has landed his man.
It’s stated that Klopp has been watching footage of End for months now and absolutely loves his personality.
Endo has been underrated for a while now but has been the key leader in the Stuttgart side for a while now.
An experienced and hard-working performer, Endo brings the know-how and battle-hardened nature Liverpool needed after losing Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.
This wasn’t a flashy signing but it’s clearly one that Klopp – and those close to him in the game – absolutely love.
