Julian Nagelsmann comments on Manuel Neuer’s future with the German national team

The former Bayern Munich coach might be looking to lean on a Bayern legend in the upcoming Euros.

Bayern Munich star Manuel Neuer has been the obvious choice for the German national team for over a decade now, but the clock on his career is ticking. He isn’t exactly a spring chicken at 37-years-old, although his recent performances indicate no sign of slowing down. Neuer is arguably the greatest goalkeeper of all time, but does he have a future with Germany?

Julian Nagelsmann, like the rest of the world, surely knows how talented Neuer truly is. Neuer recently indicated his aspirations to compete at the highest level. Neuer’s recent contract extension with Bayern Munich also indicates his intention to play at the highest level.

As long as Neuer can play like he has previously, there is no reason why he shouldn’t be a key member of the German squad. Julian Nagelsmann recently chimed in on the conversation by saying, “If he stays healthy and plays like he does now, he will be there.”
