Jordan James shows true colours with emotional message to Birmingham City fans as exit confirmed
Wales star Jordan James has bid farewell to Birmingham City with ‘nothing but fond memories’, as his move to French side Stade Rennais is now official.
Having been with the club since before joining the academy, James progressed through the ranks and made his first-team debut at just 17. After clocking up 105 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing two assists, his abilities have caught international attention, leading him to a new venture in Ligue 1.
The 20-year-old midfielder expressed his gratitude to the Blues community in an emotional Instagram post, which included a video montage of his time at the club.
He thanked the fans for their unwavering support and acknowledged the lifelong friendships he’s forged.
His message on Instagram stated: “To everyone associated with Birmingham City. Thank you for the last 12 years. I’ve loved playing for this club and leave with nothing but fond memories.”
“Thank you to all the managers and staff I’ve had along the way, from the academy to those in the first team, you’ve supported and helped me in ways I’ll always been grateful for. To those I’ve shared the pitch with, thank you, I’ve made friends for life and played with some amazing people.
“Lastly, to the fans, thank you for your support, from my academy days to my debut to now, you’ve been there through all the highs and through some lows. I’m disappointed with how last season went and I hope to see you back where you belong in no time,” reports Birmingham Live.
“All the best for the future, Bluenoses. Thanks, JJ.”
