That is according to The Daily Mail, which has noted Wilson’s stance on a potential exit from Newcastle.
So, what has been reported about Callum Wilson? Let’s take a look.
Callum Wilson open to leaving Newcastle United
Well, according to The Daily Mail, Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Callum Wilson from Newcastle United in the January transfer window.
Atletico have made an enquiry about signing Wilson on a loan deal. Newcastle have turned it down. The Premier League club, though, could sell the striker if they get a suitable offer.
The Daily Mail has noted that Wilson, who, according to Newcastle manager Eddie Howe, is “a hugely important part” of the team, “would be open to talks with Atletico should the Magpies accept a deal”.
The 31-year-old striker is on the sidelines at the moment and will return to action before the end of January. He has 18 more months left on his contract.
