‘He’s too good’: Pundit now urges his club to sign ‘fantastic’ 23-year-old Wolves player

October 8, 2023

Darren Bent has praised Wolves winger Pedro Neto – and hopes Arsenal sign the star.

Neto has enjoyed a tremendous start to 2023/24 so far.

He has been the standout player for Wolves in pretty much every game, and has played a huge part in the club’s haul of seven points so far.

Neto has been in the form of his life, playing all seven Premier League games and making four assists and scoring one goal.

Inevitably, there is already a bit of speculation about the Portuguese attacker.

A number of clubs are already said to be on his tail, and Bent would love to see the Gunners sign him…

Bent and Andy Goldstein were talking players that are ‘too good’ for their clubs.

After mentioning Lucas Paqueta at West Ham, Goldstein suggested Neto at Wolves.

Big Arsenal fan Bent replied: “Yeah at Wolves, he’s too good. I’m hoping Arsenal get him. That’s what I’m hoping. Because he is fantastic.”

Arsenal are thought to have long admired Neto.

The Gunners were linked with even before he sustained his knee injury a couple seasons ago.

Neto will be a wanted man
Neto’s form right now is absolutely amazing.

But the issue is obviously that he is very much drawing attention with his lively displays.

He is the standout player for Wolves, and he will surely be on many clubs’ radars next year.

You would like to think that he would at least see out this current season with Wolves and not leave in January.

Wanderers will surely be completely opposed to any mid-season sale.

Ideally Neto would stay at Wolves for another couple of years and stay until his mid-twenties like Ruben Neves did. But Wolves fans probably aren’t holding their breath given the talent in question.
