Harry Kane hands Newcastle the Dortmund Champions League blueprint after Der Klassiker hat-trick

Newcastle United head to Borussia Dortmund looking to avenge the 1-0 defeat in the Champions League last month. The result blew the group of death wide open once again, with the Toon dropping from top of the pile down to third in the group.
Edin Terzic’s Dortmund side were the first team in the group to get one over Eddie Howe’s men, in an impressive display from the Bundesliga side. In truth, there could be very little room to argue over the end result, with Dortmund the better side on the night.
However, as the Toon Army prepare to travel to Germany later this week, a familiar face may well have handed them the perfect blueprint to get one over BVB. Harry Kane scored a hat-trick for Bayern Munich in their 4-0 win over Dortmund in Der Klassiker, the first defeat of their Bundesliga campaign and a comprehensive one at that.
The former Spurs striker scored three goals to complete a rout at the Signal Iduna Park ahead of Newcastle’s visit on Tuesday night. That takes Kane up to 20 goals for club and country so far this season after just 15 games, with 15 goals and five assists in ten games in the Bundesliga.
His first goal against the Yellows, a devastating counter-attack after just nine minutes that Howe’s men will look to for similar success. The Toon have thrived playing on the counter since Howe arrived on Tyneside, but will have to cope with the wall of noise at the Signal Iduna Park.
