Everton have easy Semih Kilicsoy transfer decision amid £20m update
Everton must go back in for 19-year-old Besiktas ace Semih Kilicsoy in the January transfer window.
The attacker has been in decent form in the Turkish Super Lig this term as he’s chipped in with four assists across the eleven games he’s played in.
Everton’s number nine role has been a cause for concern for some time now and despite Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil managing to put in solid performances each week, they still seem to be lacking some firepower in attack.
Indeed, Armando Broja is due to be integrated into the squad soon which will provide the Toffees with another option but, if he doesn’t hit the ground running, moves will likely have to be made in January.
German outlet Fussball Europa (16 October) reported that because Kilicsoy has only started four games for Giovanni van Bronckhorst this term, he’s seeking pastures new.
The report also adds that Everton had a bid worth around £9.9million rejected by the Euro club in the summer with the Turkish outfit looking for somewhere between £20million and £25million for a move to be sanctioned.
This may seem like quite a steep fee but the fact he can be deployed across the front three and contributed to 15 goals last season shows how much quality the youngster possesses.
Everton must make a move for Semih Kilicsoy
The Toffees have been in decent form over their last four Premier League games, with Sean Dyche’s men getting eight points from a possible 12.
Not only does this outline how in form the Merseyside outfit have been but it also showcases how far they’ve managed to come in a short amount of time.
If Everton had a striker who could regularly find the back of the net, they’d no doubt be higher in the table than where they currently find themselves, albeit they are now moving in the right direction.
It’s still early in the season of course and the January transfer window is still a way off at the moment, but the fact that they’re now unbeaten in their last four Premier League games shows that they mean business this term.
If Kilicsoy was added to their ranks in January, Everton would only be boosting their chances of Premier League survival, making the move feel like a no-brainer.
In other Everton news, Jamie O’Hara has reacted to the Toffees being unbeaten in the Premier League for the last five weeks.
