Double goalscorer Michael Olise says Kompany’s system at Bayern Munich makes enjoying his football “easy”
Olise’s late goal certainly did look like someone who enjoys his football at the moment. Sheesh.
After going the month of November without scoring a goal, Michael Olise had his scoring boots back on today, bagging a brace in Bayern Munich’s crucial 5-1 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.
This victory takes Bayern to 12 points and into the top eight in the table ahead of Wednesday’s fixtures and means that, despite some early bumps in the road, the Bavarians are getting back on the track to automatically qualifying for the Round of 16. But such success requires the coach to supply a successful system for the players. And such a successful system, one currently in place at Bayern courtesy of head coach Vincent Kompany, hinges on how much players enjoy their football.
