Di Marzio: Milan offer €4m/yr deal to Villarreal star – Tonali sale helps financial leverage
AC Milan are trying to make inroads in their pursuit of Samuel Chukwueze and they have offered him terms, according to a report.
The big headline from yesterday was the news that Sandro Tonali is closing in on a move to Newcastle United in a package that should end up being worth €140m when factoring in transfer fee and contract for the midfielder.
While that is obviously a blow to Milan’s stability, it does give them some economic resources to invest in other areas of the squad including the right wing position, which has been troublesome for a few seasons now.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanEye), Milan have offered Chukwueze a contract worth €4m net per season in a bid to try agree terms with the winger and accelerate the process of dealing with Villarreal.
The LaLiga side are demanding €40m but Milan can now have economic leverage after the potential sale of Tonali, and they are hoping to use bonuses and/or advantageous formulas to strike a deal with them.
