Dean Huijsen makes honest Mohamed Salah point amid transfer links – ‘You are always looking’

Liverpool-linked defender Dean Huijsen has named Mohamed Salah as one of the top three forwards across the Premier League. The Egyptian, 32, scored a brace in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth in February and is well on course to finish as the Premier League’s top-scorer for a fourth time since joining the Reds in 2017.

Salah has less than three months remaining on his current deal at Liverpool and – as things stands – is set to leave Anfield as a free agent on July 1. However, Huijsen, who joined Bournemouth from Juventus last summer, believes Salah is one of the best marksmen in the Premier League – naming him alongside Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.

Asked by ESPN who his three most difficult opponents have been since moving to the Premier League, Huijsen said: “Well, I think Haaland you always have to watch for. He’s always looking to find the place to score and you have to be aware of him.
