Daniel Farke sends ‘improvement’ message to Noah Okafor amid his Leeds United form

January 23, 2026

The summer signing has frustrated some supporters in recent matches amid a lack of end product

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has given his backing to Noah Okafor but has reminded him that there are areas of his game he needs to improve amid stiff competition for minutes.

The £18million summer signing has not scored since netting against Tottenham Hotspur in early October, despite starting 10 of the next 14 Premier League games.

He has also yet to register an assist at all, although it was his pressing of Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez that led to Leeds’ third goal to wrap up a 3-1 win.

Okafor has showcased his ability to take on a player and use his pace to good effect yet has often frustrated onlookers with his final end product, whether it be a pass or a finish. Farke has sent the Swiss attacker a reminder to keep progressing or risk losing his place.

“His start to life for us, he was there with goals and with assists,” Farke said of Okafor ahead of Monday’s clash with Everton. “Of course, he’s a player who has a special ability.
