Dani Olmo won’t be able to play for Spain if he’s not registered with Barcelona

January 3, 2025

Another issue…

Dani Olmo is still waiting to see if he will be able to play for Barcelona in 2025 as the Catalans bid to get the Spain star registered for the second half of the season.

Yet it has now emerged the forward’s international future is also at stake right now.

Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Olmo won’t be able to play for the national team if he remains unregistered at Barcelona.

The news would be another blow to Olmo and also the Spain team. He’s an important player and La Roja have some big games coming up in early 2025.

Spain take on Netherlands in the quarter-finals of the Nations League in March and will be hoping to book a spot in the final four of the tournament.

In the meantime, Barca remain hopeful they can register Olmo and Pau Victor and are expected to provide some kind of update on Friday.
