Daley Blind to undergo Bayern Munich medical

Bayern Munich will sign former Manchester United and Ajax midfielder Daley Blind on a free in the January transfer window, according to The Athletic. The report has calmed that the Netherlands international will undergo a medical with Bayern before putting pen to paper on a deal.

Blind had his contract with Ajax mutually terminated in December 2022. The Dutchman returned to Ajax from Manchester United in 2018 and helped them win the Eredivisie in 2019, 2021 and 2022. Blind won the league title with Ajax in his first spell in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Bayern are at the top of the Bundesliga table at the moment with 34 points from 15 matches, four points clear of second-placed S Freiburg. The Bavarians have also reached the knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League where they will face defending Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-German.
