CM: Milan retain interest in Sassuolo star but Juventus are now in the running Sempre Milan
AC Milan are one of several Italian sides who remain interested in signing Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo, according to a report.
According to Calciomercato.com, Roma are the team who remain the frontrunners to sign Frattesi, with Inter and Milan keeping informed on his situation, but now it is Juventus who have entered the scene and are keen.
The four Serie A sides are increasingly convinced by the qualities of the 23-year-old and Sassuolo are now preparing for a summer in which they foresee Frattesi being potentially the hottest Italian property on the market.
In the last days of January when Zaniolo seemed ready to accept a move to Bournemouth, Roma tried to quickly set up a deal for Frattesi but in the end the winger said no to moving to England. Now, other teams are back in the running and Juve in particular seem to be pushing.
The off-field events are keeping the Bianconeri busy and at present it is difficult to plan investments for next summer, waiting to understand what the final verdicts of the various investigations will be.
However, what is certain is that the current Juventus management likes Frattesi very much as he is Italian, young and with a salary that is still not excessive. Whether this will move on to a real negotiation, only time will tell.
