Chelsea legend Jose Mourinho shares who he wants to win the Premier League this season

December 18, 2023

Chelsea legend Jose Mourinho has now shared who he wants to win the Premier League this season.

He was asked on the Obi One podcast which of the top three he would prefer to win the title, now both the Blues and Manchester United are way out of the race.

Mourinho had two spells in charge of Chelsea, winning the Premier League as well as domestic trophies along the way.

However, they were not the only English side he was in the hotseat for, with him spending time at Old Trafford and Tottenham too.

Despite them both being big rivals, it has not affected his stock in West London too much as a real legend of the club.

With Chelsea currently nowhere near a title race under Mauricio Pochettino, the current Roma manager shared who he would like to win the league instead.

Mourinho on title race
He said: “I would say Man City 51 [percent], and Liverpool 49 [percent].”

When asked if he would consider Arsenal, he said:

“Nah! The rivalry is still there. It’s not the rivalry it is in the right moments. Rivarly apart, I would like them to win. Of course, Chelsea is not going to win. It is out of the question. Manchester United is not going to win it too.

“So it is between these three and out of these three I would like Arsenal to win it. But 51, 49. And I say 51, 49 because when the accumulation of matches are coming Man City has two teams.”

Chelsea supporters will be hoping the money spent on their playing squad is going to soon get them fighting again for titles.

One positive has at least been their performances against the big sides this season. Their best displays of the season have come against the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal.
